Danial Laiq of Cleaver-Brooks Earns “40 Under 40” Distinction from Consulting-Specifying Engineer Magazine
Thomasville, Ga. (May 22, 2025) – Every year, Consulting-Specifying Engineer (CSE) magazine highlights 40 outstanding professionals under the age of 40 in the nonresidential building industry for notable achievements in both their careers and personal lives.
Danial Laiq, hydronics product specialist at Cleaver-Brooks, is among this year’s distinguished “40 Under 40” honorees. He began his career in supercritical power plants in Pakistan and China, where he gained firsthand experience in boiler operations. Motivated by this experience, Laiq pursued a master’s degree in thermal science at the University of Utah. His graduate research focused on adsorption-based atmospheric water harvesting systems that contribute to sustainable solutions for global water scarcity.
He is passionate about heat transfer products that play a vital role in the energy-water nexus, recognizing their impact on sustainability and efficiency in modern infrastructure. His commitment to professional development is demonstrated by his participation in ASHRAE technical committees focused on heat transfer and fluid flow, and fuels and combustion.
As a hydronics product specialist at Cleaver-Brooks, Laiq applies his technical expertise to advance boiler applications. He works closely with engineers, architects, contractors and manufacturer’s representatives to design and implement efficient heating solutions.
Outside of work, Laiq spends his time volunteering for a local non-profit. An avid badminton player, he regularly competes in local tournaments and enjoys exploring the outdoors through hiking. One of his personal goals is to visit every national park.
