Cleaver-Brooks provided the customer with a complete boiler island consisting of two D-type packaged steam boilers and all auxiliary equipment. Our in-house combustion expertise ensured that all equipment performed safely and reliably.


Challenge:

A Boiler Plant Optimization™ Overview identified deficiencies along with opportunities to optimize the boiler system, but the company wanted hard data to justify the required capital expense.

Solution:

Data and trending reports generated by the Prometha® smart device for boilers enabled company executives to visualize inefficiencies, and they approved the proposed upgrades.

Results:

Reduced the number of boilers from six continually operating at max fire to four operating at full fire or less, despite an increase in plant demand and 30° F increase in water temperature.
