ProtoAir Wireless Gateway

The ProtoAir wireless gateway is a high-performance building automation gateway that supports multiple protocols. It is preconfigured for interfacing Cleaver-Brooks devices with building energy management systems, including:

  • BACnet/IP
  • BACnet MS/TP
  • Metasys® N2 by JCI
  • Modbus RTU
  • Modbus TCP/IP
  • Ethernet/IP

 

ProtoAir does not require additional configuration files to support these applications. The Cleaver-Brooks ProtoAir comes pre-loaded with tested profiles and configurations for the supported devices.

ProtoAir, an updated version of the ProtoNode, can connect to the SMC cloud, enabling remote access for technicians and support teams. Through the SMC cloud, the following capabilities are available for registered devices in the field:

  • Remote monitoring and control of devices
  • Data collection and display on the SMC cloud dashboard
  • User-defined notifications (e.g., alarm, trouble, and warning) via SMS and/or email
  • Generation of diagnostic captures for troubleshooting without needing to visit the site
  • Process Steam
  • Building Heat
  • Sterilization
  • Humidification
  • Laundry and Dry Cleaning
  • Food Processing
  • Breweries & Distilleries
  • Pharmaceutical
